Fiona  Fiona got pregnant almost immediately after we hooked up.  It really didn’t freak me out the way I thought it would.  In fact, we were both excited about it.  There had never been a lot of love in my life.  Anyone I had ever cared for before was gone by that point, off doing their own thing elsewhere, or more sinister things had happened to them.  There was only me, her and our baby.

Jonathan - Subway Station  I was halfway down the stairs when I realized that the doors were sliding shut.  It was already too late to get on the train.  It would move in a matter of seconds, that slow trudge as it starts off on its journey under the streets.  Chasing after a subway train has to be one of the stupidest things anyone in their right mind can do.  But you see that train pulling off and your first instinct is to dart after it.  Your feet move of their own volition.  Sometimes you’ll even call out, as if someone’s gonna hear you and actually, you know, stop the train or something.  It’s some kind of retarded instinct that by-passes your braiJonathan - Subway Station by *resuki

The Color of Sunshine  "The Color of Sunshine."

West of the village, just off the road, there is a twisted old apple tree that stands alone on a hill.  Its branches sprawl about like paws in a pile of sleeping cats.  This tree hardly bares fruit anymore, having stood for as long as anyone in the valley can remember, the soul survivor of what was once an orchard.

In the freezing cold of mid-winter, I stand beneath this tree, gazing up through the leaf-bare branches to the gray haze of sky above.  Small flurries of snow are drifting down to touch upon the frozen ground.  A storm is coming, from the look oThe Color of Sunshine by *resuki
